Get
To Know Me
I made my debut in Highland Press'
sweet military romance anthology, OPERATION: L.O.V.E. with my story
"B&B Bivouac" and was chosen as the lead story in the
collection's next book, HOLIDAY OP, with "The
Stocking: A Proposal Via Inflated Raft". In the third book of
the series, FOR YOUR HEART ONLY, I shifted over to the Intelligence
Community with my story about the NSA's Crypto section with "Decoding Love".
I write the gamut from sweet
to sexy, humorous to suspenseful. I'm a member of
Romance Writers of America and can usually be found at the RWA and
Romantic Times Conventions, as well as enjoying helping out my friend
Anne Elizabeth at the New York and San Diego Comic Cons.
Born on Keesler Air
Force Base, I'm the daughter of a lifer Air Force Master Sergeant father
and a career Civil Service mother; both of whom were avid readers and gave
me a passion for the written word at a very early age.
Former evolutions in my life
have seen me doing everything from teaching ballroom dance for Arthur Murray in New Orleans
after college to working for Porter Novelli, Omnicom's Public Relations
arm and
McKinsey & Company Management Consulting in Los Angeles. Back home
after a decade in LA, I opened my own desktop publishing firm for
several years until I met and married the man of my dreams and entered
the wonderful world of Romance Writing.
When I'm not watching the
sun come up over the rim of my laptop, I enjoy spending time with my rocket scientist husband Charles
(no...seriously... I'm not making comments about his intelligence... he
really IS a rocket scientist - I even got him the tee shirt to prove it) and
our two cat masters, Tiger and Angel, who rule us with dewclaws of iron.
I'm an admitted spa addict who is perpetually in search of
the perfect massage, rich dark chocolate truffles and most importantly,
the ideal cup of gourmet coffee. I enjoy horseback riding, shooting, camping, cooking,
drawing/ painting, scrapbooking, entertaining friends and family, and all forms of
dancing. Hey I started with ballet, segued to ballroom and lately
have been making overtures to bellydancing - heaven help my belly) LOL.
I have a big graphic on the
wall next to my desk that springboards me out of my comfort zone and into
life every morning. It reads,
"RISK: A Ship in the Harbor is Safe ... But That's Not What
Ships Were Made For!" Take a chance. Write that
story. Ask the guy out. Try that new dish. Go somewhere you've always wanted
to. Learn something new every day.
Life is short. Take a
deep breath ... and
Have Fun!
